Deep Research
Deep research refers to an AI process that automatically searches, gathers, and cross-checks multiple web sources on a single topic, then compiles the findings into a cited, synthesized report.
Deep research refers to an AI process that breaks a question or topic into sub-questions, runs repeated web searches, and collects, compares, and cross-checks multiple sources before organizing the findings into a synthesized report with citations. Unlike a standard AI reply that answers briefly from a single lookup, it gathers material across several steps and reconciles conflicting information.
In marketing work, it is used to understand market trends, competitors, customer characteristics, and industry practices. It can cut the time spent manually searching across many sites, but because AI may cite unreliable sources or fabricate facts (hallucinate), a person still needs to verify the claims and sources in the output.
In content-generation tools, material gathered through deep research is sometimes used as grounding knowledge about a brand or product, helping improve the factual accuracy of the copy or content produced afterward.
